Understanding Loneliness

There is a difference between being alone and feeling lonely. We can, as an example, feel lonely in the company of friends or family. And many people today feel this sense of loneliness, of being apart, of something missing in one’s life.

Loneliness, in many cases, comes out from a state of being departed from something basic inside, or not listening or paying attention to lives within us. We live in a world that drives us more and more to look outside of ourselves as we pursue education, manage a career and finances, attend to family commitments…often at the cost of the inner life. And there are many lives within us that can become ignored, creating a sense of emptiness and loneliness.

This Walk of Importance on Loneliness is designed to guide you through an inner journey and experience, to help re-introduce and connect you with the inner you, and then to better hear and listen to inner stirrings and messages.
